Associate membership shall consist of city officials, company officers and members of fire departments interested in the protection of life and property from fire, and officers of recognized fire prevention organizations. Associate members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Association except to hold elected office, or to serve as a   member of the Executive Committee. Associate members have the right to vote except for an Active Membership Only Vote call.

Active membership shall be comprised of the Chief of Department, other chief officers, and division heads (training, fire prevention, etc.) of the regularly organized public, governmental and industrial fire departments, State Fire Marshals and Deputies, one representative of the State Fire College, the executive director of the Alabama Personnel Standards and Education Commission and the President of each recognized statewide section of the association. Only active members shall be elble to hold office or the right to vote.

  Corporate membership shall consist of individuals ,association, firms and corporations interested in the protection of life and property from fire. Corporate members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Association except to vote or to hold elected office or to serve as a member of the Executive Committee. Corporate membership will entitle your company logo(the logo will scroll on the website) to be placed on the home page of the Alabama Assoc. of Fire Chiefs website.
