Welcome to the Alabama Association of Fire Chief’s new website
We’d like to introduce ourselves…
Our new website, currently still under construction, is a major step for our organization with the anticipation that it will bring us closer together and also inform other fire service organizations of our goals and objectives. It is our hope that this new tool will enable the Association to be better informed, more efficient, and at the same time meet the needs of the Fire Service Officers in Alabama. One of the goals of this organization is to provide a real-time forum for the leaders of the Alabama Fire Services to find solutions for everyday problems. The members of the Alabama Association of Fire Chiefs is composed of Chiefs / Officers from an assortment of departments including large municipal departments, small volunteer departments, career, paid and combination; all with the sole purpose of saving lives, protecting property, and increasing our knowledge and training in all areas.
The Executive Board wishes to provide a forum for officers and supervisors to acquire and disseminate information, offer opportunities for education, and project the professionalism of the firefighters of Alabama. One of the major goals is to focus on life safety, of our citizens and our firefighters. This goal can be achieved through knowledge, wisdom, and information. Our purpose is to provide the means for discussion of matters of mutual interest and a channel for improvement of each individual department and firefighter. It is the aim of this organization to furnish each other with aid in the time of need, promote effective fire prevention & suppression, and disaster preparedness through education, training, and if need be legislative action. We also want to cultivate a fellowship among all the fire organizations of our great state. Our mission is to serve the citizens of Alabama by promoting the safety of all, promoting Alabama Fire Service professionals, and providing the resources to accomplish all the above goals. Membership to this organization is open to all fire officers who wish to join in our efforts to improving Fire Safety and Fire Education in Alabama.
