Turn Your Attention to Fire Prevention (TYATFP) is a year-round statewide public education campaign led by the Alabama Association of Fire Chiefs (AAFC). The program unites Alabama’s fire service and communities to reduce fires, injuries, and fatalities through awareness, education, and proactive prevention.

Our Purpose

To empower Alabama communities through proactive fire prevention education, outreach, and awareness. By working together, we can save lives, reduce losses, and build a safer state for everyone.

2025 Campaign Goals

Increase Awareness Engage local media, schools, and communities to increase fire prevention visibility across all 67 counties.

Expand Partnerships Collaborate with Alabama fire departments, businesses, and media outlets to strengthen campaign reach.

Enhance Education Provide modernized tools, school programs, and social media content to promote year-round fire safety.
